Brought the lilacs indoors, so I could smell them all day long—May 2025

Hi friend,

At the end of the month, I try to choose a couple of the spaces in my home and share some stories from them. Instead of light housekeeping, I like to think of it as Lighthouse-keeping. A log of events that took place in and around The Lighthouse. It’s a fun way for me to reflect on more than just what I do, but where I do it, and think about my relationships with home and other environments.

Compared to the last few months, where I was spending about half my time at Tall Man’s house, I spent most of this month at home. This won’t always be true, and I think that’s one of the reasons I noticed more than usual and felt more connected to The Lighthouse overall—because I know I won’t have many months like this. I’ve noticed a shift in almost every room of the house, and I want to document it all and share them with you.

In attempt to not let this one get too long, I’ve written them as bullet points…
