I, like you, have a list of lists. I can't wait to close some tabs. Happy Summer, friend x

Good luck with the sleep test!! I was freaked out about mine but it has helped me when I use my sleep machine. I slept so hard last night after dog sitting the past three nights.

I am focusing on my health this month. I am currently at a follow-up appointment for my eyes and I think the bump on a log personality of my person helping me has tempered a bit as I explained some things to her.

Also having a lot of physical therapy twice a week after this week of a follow-up eye appointment and a mammogram on Wednesday. Physical therapy will happen twice a week until September 2 on my knee. I can finally walk a bit more than I could in June.

I relate to having a lot of tabs open. I feel very distracted with health, dogs, finances which seem tighter as well for months straight, friends who have so much going on that I feel bad bringing up my own concerns.

I talked honestly to my counselor last week and said I just haven’t been well since stopping journaling because of being so sad in June and July due to my health. I also had to stop walking because of my knee.

She took sympathy on me and said let’s get two appointments in the books and schedule more as needed. Oh, for someone to listen to me & not judge me & and I can’t even perform to get her to like me!

Happy August!!! Wishing you the best in all of these open tabs. :)

Thank you, my friend! You too!

Hi Cait!

My many tabs (both personal and work-related) never close but steadily keep changing, opening and closing. It's just the way I go.

Among your many open tabs you write:

"I am craving having a desk and some space of my own. I am taking zero steps toward making that a reality."

A suggestion:

why don't you outsource that one to TM to handle for you.

He might love to tackle that challenge and surprise you. You're now a team don't forget.

Oh, and one more thing: don't worry about passing your upcoming UK test. I'm sure that you'll ace it on the first pass. Don't over think it and stress in preparing for it. Remember: "small stuff" ...

Enjoy yourself in the coming weeks and we'll see you here in September.

Take care now.

He has definitely offered to help! We were about to begin, and then some life changes happened here and we are talking about the possibility of moving... so it doesn't feel worth tackling, until we know what's happening with all of that. But one day! Thanks for the vote of confidence re: the test too. I think I'll do ok... I'm just failing at remembering the history section, lol

Think I need to do one of these, I have so many tabs open right now! In my brain but also on my phone 🙈. They need to close! Have a good month x

HIGHLY reco a brain dump, friend! Get it all out! THEN make sense of it, lol

Enjoy your time offline - looking forward to seeing you again here in September!

Cait Flanders's avatar

Thanks, Krista! Do you have any plans in August? Anything you're looking forward to?

Krista Muscarella's avatar

Well, I had a fantastic June/July (visited my hometown of Buffalo, NY and then Glacier National Park and Isle Royale National Park which completed my quest to visit all 63 designated National Parks within the United States)! Now unfortunately it's back to work. I have some things I'm looking forward to on the weekends and, of course, just reading and relaxing with my cat, Bentley, is something I always look forward to as well!!

Cait Flanders's avatar

Oh my gosh, all 63 done! What a milestone! Do you have any favourites, or ones you'd really like to go back to!?

Krista Muscarella's avatar

Oh definitely! Top of my list for favorite is Katmai National Park and Preserve (so, so many bears). There's a handful I'd like to revisit to spend more time in :) Looking forward to exploring more state parks now and maybe some National Monuments! Anyway, enjoy your time away from screens, Cait!

Happy Summer break! I hope it ends up filling your cup in all the ways you need, and that only the important tabs stay open. For me, I am trying to figure out how to survive and maybe thrive a tiny bit in the heat, which will become ever more of an issue, I fear. I am not made for it, but I want to make memories with my kiddo and enjoy the last month before we're heading back into stuffy nose season 🙈😅🙏🏻

Cait Flanders's avatar

I'm not made for the heat either, friend. But I hope you can make lots of memories this month, big and small! ☀️ I want to be *here* in this summer... and not think about that stuff nose season yet either!

Right now I have one thing on my list because it is a big one for me. I am focusing on using my left hand more to get some relief from the arthritis in my right hand. This requires paying attention!

Cait Flanders's avatar

And learning something new, I would imagine! What an interesting exercise both for pain relief, but also for your mind, Linda! Trying to adapt shows that you're committed to yourself. At least, that's how I see it ☺️

An inspiration, you are.

Cait Flanders's avatar

Haha well I'm not sure which part of this is inspiring, but I'll take it, friend! Let's see what we can write in August, shall we!?

I’m craving a slowing down this month. I know I can’t stop the school prep or end of summer vacation plans, but I am going to back out of as many social events as I can. I just want to have some slower time before my family’s school routines kick off.

Cait Flanders's avatar

That sounds like a really nice plan, Katie! Enjoy the month!

Hi Cait! I’d been wondering where you’ve been and what you’ve been up to. That list answered my question haha

I used to feel like that 24/7 and after going back to therapy and doing some health coaching this year, I finally realized that’s not how I want to feel, specially permanently.

At first, I completely let go of lists and just did what I absolutely had/wanted to focus on. It felt so good! But after a few weeks, I started having a list again haha not as busy as the previous ones, but things are adding up and I’m reminding myself how good it felt to lift the weight off of wanting to do too many things, so I can keep focusing on what I absolutely want or need to do. Not easy, but worth it!

Have a good time closing your tabs and thanks for the reflection! Your questions always inspire me to go deep.

Have a fantastic time off! I am planning on closing some tabs later this month and into September when the kiddo goes back to school.
