Would you let me build a plan that optimizes your living standard, and write about it? Then you can measure your new budget. Great opportunity for our subscribers!
It's hard, because they only come out at night. But there's one pic from when I found the original Hedgie in distress last summer (linked in this post).
Oh Iβm the same with AI. As someone who likes writing AND works in publishing, I fear it! I donβt use it but maybe I should get my head out the sand one dayβ¦ Love the possible Brene Brown book - letβs all hope she is writing that one :) x
On the topic of AI, I read "Mentoring the Machines" part 1, by John Vervaeke and Shawn Coyne. I want to read the next part. It was an informative, sort of philosophical approach to understanding AI and its importance, and what it means to say that it might become sentient. They are fairly short, conversational books.
Thanks for talking about AI, Cait. Like you, I've felt super apprehensive about it and have generally avoided the topic altogether. But I'm glad you're diving into it so that I don't have to!... haha! I'll just have to wait to hear your thoughts about it once you've done your research! P.S. That chili mac & cheese looks yummy! P.P.S. So glad you enjoyed Bad Cree! I need more books like that in my life...

Thank you for all the wonderful resources. I have had my head in the sand about AI and now I have a place to start. I am slow to get back to looking at my finances regularly. After sorting and paying taxes, I took a bit of a break. I am ready to get back into my new spreadsheets to keep track of my spending. I am glad you bought new shoes. I waited too long with my last pair and had trouble with my knees. Enjoy the shoes and where they take you.
I am still deep into Anna Karenina. But it is going well! I've been reading on my Kindle which I think helps in making it feel like less of a daunting read. The size is intimidating! I've got about 8 hours left to read (I love this feature on the eReader haha!)

I'm not sure exactly what this means, Robert. Probably easier to talk via email than in the comments. Do you want to email me? caitflanders at gmail
Omg you weren't kidding about the podcast list, wow! I'm starting on it right now, thanks for the recs :-)
I know, I know... the list got long! π
Yay! Iβm ready for a summer of hedgehog content π
You and me both, friend!
You should take some pics. I am not sure what one looks like!

It would be very timely!
Must have been so exciting to see the hedgehogs!

It was an EXCELLENT read. And it was neat to read the parts set in Vancouver, because I could imagine the locations.
Yes! And I'm pretty sure she wrote at least some of the book in Squamish.
Great stuff, Cait - thanks for all the podcast recs! I am NOT interested in AI but I know I shouldnβt turn a blind eye at it.
Okay, I need to eat those dates for dessert asap!!!
Also, super curious to learn more about AI related stuff because I don't know much.

Oh how lovely, Michelle! Hope he had a great birthday!
OMG, I love dates sliced open with peanut butter! So, so good! π
SOOO GOOD. I can't believe it took 38 years to discover them!
There is something decadent about the combination of dates, nut butter and coconut.
